Welcome to CodeIn, an open-source AI coding IDE developed by inBharat AI. By downloading, installing, or using CodeIn, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. License

CodeIn is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with this license.

2. Use of the Software

You may use CodeIn for any lawful purpose, including:

Personal and commercial software development
Education and learning
Research and experimentation
Contributing to the open-source project

You agree not to use CodeIn to:

Develop malicious software, malware, or exploits
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
Attempt to bypass security measures of third-party systems

3. Third-Party AI Services

CodeIn integrates with third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). When you use these services through CodeIn:

You are responsible for providing your own API keys and any associated costs.
You are subject to the terms of service of each provider you use.
inBharat AI is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or output of third-party AI services.
AI-generated code should be reviewed before use in production environments.

4. Your Code and Data

You retain full ownership of all code, files, and data you create or edit using CodeIn. CodeIn does not claim any rights to your work. Code processed by local AI models remains entirely on your device.

5. No Warranty

CodeIn is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The entire risk of using the software is with you.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall inBharat AI or the CodeIn contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the software, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits.

7. AI-Generated Content

Code and content generated by AI models through CodeIn:

May contain errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities — always review before use.
May inadvertently resemble existing copyrighted code — verify originality for critical projects.
Is generated based on the AI model's training data — we make no guarantees about its accuracy or suitability.
Should be tested thoroughly before deployment to production systems.

8. Open Source Contributions

If you contribute to the CodeIn project, you agree that your contributions are licensed under the same Apache-2.0 License. See our Contributing Guidelines for details.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of CodeIn after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
